Bilbao is taking part in our Global Cities Week, and its PechaKucha Night Vol. 10 happens today, February 23, which is the biggest night of our event, with almost half of the participating cities having their PKNs on that night (including us, here in Tokyo). Bilbao’s event will take place at Sala Bilborock.

Not only is the city of Latina, Italy taking part in the Global Cities Week, it will also be the city’s very first PechaKucha Night. The event will happen tomorrow (Thursday, February 23) at the Foyer Teatro Comunale G. D’Annunzio, and you’ll find the full list of presenters with links on the official event page.

The title of this post has a shortened version of the title of today’s presentation by Barry Haynes, but the full title is “Places on the Coast You May Not Know, Places on the Coast Where You’ll Want to Go.” Recorded at PechaKucha Night in Gibsons Vol. 1, here’s what to expect:

There are still PechaKucha Nights happening outside of our Global Cities Week, like Trnava’s Vol. 3, which is set for February 29 at Artklub. The event is not on the Trnava city page yet, but should be added shortly. The lovely poster for the event was designed by Simona Cechova. Here’s what organizer Samuel Boskovic has to say about the bear:

This bear of ours on the poster is waking-up from the hibernation and we are looking forward to the end of the winter and for the new opportunities during spring and summer.

A regular PechaKucha Night series will soon be launching in Palma de Mallorca, but as part of our Global Cities Week, a one-off PechaKucha event is indeed happening, taking place on February 23 at the Salon de Actos COAIB (Balearic school of architects). It’s a big day today, with not only our Global Cities Week kicking off, we also get to celebrate our 9th anniversary! Yes, it was back in 2003, on February 20, that the first PechaKucha Night was held in Tokyo, and 9 years later, here we are organizing a global event to celebrate this amazing city network of ours! Not only that, but we also hit the 490 city mark today, which means that we’re probably just a few weeks away from hitting 500! Our thanks go out to everyone for all of the amazing support you’ve given us over the years, and here’s to another amazing year of PK presentations and events!
